BARBRI complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides appropriate auxiliary aids and services to students with disabilities to ensure effective communication.

How do I apply?

If you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation under the ADA, please complete the BARBRI Request for Accommodation Form and return it along with supporting documentation to:

ADA Director
BARBRI Bar Review
200 W. Adams, Suite 250
Chicago, IL 60606
Fax: (312) 288-4607
ADARequests@BARBRI.com

If you are not sure about what to request, please read the information below under “What accommodations will I need?” and complete the form as best you can.

When should I apply?

Even simple requests may take time to arrange. To avoid any delay in accommodations, please make your request as early as possible, ideally 90 days before the course begins.

What accommodations will I need?

To help you determine what accommodations you will need, we recommend that you learn more about the format of the program and its materials.

The three main components of the BARBRI course are: lectures, substantive law outlines, and practice testing. Please consider whether you will need accommodation for any of these components:

  • Lectures are generally 3-4 hours per day. Most lectures involve taking notes and/or filling in blanks in a lecture handout.
  • The black letter law is provided in the detailed outline books and in the condensed Conviser Mini Review (in addition to the lectures). You will generally be given daily reading assignments.
  • Practice testing may consist of out-of-class assignments and possibly some in-class assignments. Some of the assignments should be done under timed conditions.

The BARBRI course is different from law school courses. It is extremely condensed and requires you to blend the three components above to bring you to peak performance for your bar exam.

More questions?

If you have questions about the course cost, format, materials, schedule, or locations, or if you need help enrolling or would like information about your account, please contact your state BARBRI ADA Coordinator . If you have questions about BARBRI ADA policies, please contact the National ADA Director at ADARequests@BARBRI.com or (800) 621-0498.
